Since we went to Europe for the first time, the country that captivated us the most was Spain, I don't know if it's because they speak Spanish the same way we do, or it's the people, the food, the landscapes, but we are madly in love with this country.
When we are there we always try to live it to the fullest, when we return home there are always smells, songs that remind us of Spain.
If you ask us what to see in Spain, we will tell you that every corner. Every city has its own charm.
Madrid is definitely charming, the way you can move around, how easy it is to take a suburban train from the moment you arrive at Barajas airport. The people are helpful, always ready to help you, the food is delicious, we definitely recommend you to try the tortilla de patatas with ham or without ham, the patatas bravas, the tapas de calamares, everything is fascinating.
Some of the places you can visit in this city are the Gran Via, a place of much commerce, the goddess Cibeles, the fountain of Neptune, the Paseo la Castellana where you will find the modern skyscrapers of Madrid, the Atocha station, the Retiro park, the Plaza de España, the Bernabeu stadium, a number of churches, parks, the Puerta del Sol, the Plaza Callao, the Temple of Debod, the Plaza de Toros, the San Miguel market, the Puerta de Alcalá. You can get around by bus or metro, it is very easy. When you leave Madrid all you will want to do is come back. Madrid is always a good idea.

And now for another fascinating city, Seville!!!! A warm city in every sense of the word. We went in the summer season and you can really feel it. Seville is a city that transports you to the Spanish culture and olé.
Seville among tiles, the history of the conquest of America, horses and friendly people. No doubt you will need time. As it happened to us. In our article "Lo malo no es que los Sevillanos piensen que tienen la ciudad más bonita del mundo...lo peor es que pueden que tengan hasta razón"-Antonio Gala... You will be able to fall in love with this city.

The next city to recommend in our beloved Spain is Barcelona. Getting to know Barcelona will take you several trips. Talking about this city will take us a whole article that we will publish soon. For the moment we will name some places, so that you do not stay with the desire. If you go to Barcelona you can't miss it.
The Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Barceloneta, the Boqueria market, Las Ramblas, Plaza de España, the Camp Nou stadium, the Gothic Quarter, the Jewish Quarter, the Agbar Tower, the spectacle of the magic fountain of Montjuic, Barcelona Cathedral, Plaza Catalunya ..... That's why we tell you that getting to know all this and more will take you several trips, we have been to Barcelona for four trips and we still haven't finished enjoying all its places.
Continuing with the list of magical cities in Spain we recommend Valencia, known as the city of science, if you are travelling with children it will be an excellent stop, visit the aquarium, the planetarium, they will love it.
Other smaller, but no less charming, cities that we recommend you visit:
Zaragoza, where you will find history, religion, you will be able to visit the virgin of Pilar.

On our last trip to Spain, we wanted to visit smaller cities that came highly recommended. We had the opportunity to visit two very quiet cities, places full of calm, with beautiful people and landscapes.
The city of Vigo, in the community of Galicia on the northwest coast of Spain. Although it is not one of the most visited cities, we loved it. If you are a lover of precious stones you will be able to feast your eyes and if you want to buy you will have to bring some good savings. Galicia's coastal gastronomy, based on fish and seafood, is another incentive to travel to this region.
Walking along the seafront, visiting Vigo's lighthouse and sitting and enjoying the wind while contemplating the sea are those simple pleasures that fill your soul.

Another city to recommend away from the hustle and bustle and pollution is Cuenca. The tranquillity and the air you breathe in this city are unique. If one day you want to take refuge somewhere away from the noise, you can visit Cuenca and enter the natural path of the river Júcar. The amount of trees and species that you can find will surprise you.
In our article on Cuenca in Spain between the rivers Júcar and Huécar you can read about our experience in this city.

Last but not least we recommend you to visit the Basque country in the north of Spain. In this autonomous community you can visit the cities of Bilbao, San Sebastian, visit the area of La Rioja and enjoy in our concept of the best montaditos. This area full of diversity of landscapes and wines deserves another article that we will soon have for you.
If we continue talking about charming Spain it will take us a long time and we want you to make a list of the places you want to visit and plan your itinerary so that you can enjoy your trip.
